Can I Restart a Game Offer After Uninstalling?

Uninstalled mid-offer? Reinstalling rarely restarts tracking. What pending credits mean, Offload risks, and what to do next.

By EarnMoneyRewards Editorial Team

The short answer

If you already started a tracked mobile game offer and then uninstalled the app—by accident, for storage, or because Offload Unused Apps removed it—reinstalling is not a clean restart of that same campaign. Industry practice (and partner tracking rules) treat an uninstall as a break in the live install session. Downloading the game again from the store usually does not reconnect later milestones to your original tracked click.

EarnMoneyRewards credits arrive only after the advertiser records an eligible event and Lootably sends a confirmed postback. A restored cloud save proves gameplay continued. It does not prove the advertising session is still valid.

Already-pending credits on Dashboard are a different story: those events already reached EarnMoneyRewards. Wait the normal ~48-hour hold. Do not uninstall again to “push” anything.

Mid-offer uninstall is not the same as “installed before”

Two questions get mixed together:

SituationWhat it usually means
You had the game months ago, then clicked a new offerLikely new-user ineligible from the start — see installed before eligibility
You started clean, then deleted or offloaded the app mid-ladderOngoing tracking for remaining tasks is likely disrupted; reinstall does not reliably repair the original click

This article is about the second case: you were mid-offer, the binary left the phone, and you want to know whether you can continue or “restart.”

Why deleting the app breaks the session

Measurement partners attribute a tracked install to a device session. When the app is removed:

  • The live SDK session that would report later levels is gone.
  • A fresh download can look like a new or returning install, not a continuation of the original click.
  • Cloud restore (Game Center, Play Games, publisher login) brings back levels without bringing back the original attribution chain.

Apple’s Offload Unused Apps removes the app binary while keeping documents and data. That still interrupts a live offer session—treat offload like an uninstall for reward purposes. On Android, clearing the game’s storage or uninstalling has the same practical effect: the offer session you started from the tracked button is no longer intact.

Major reward platforms state the same rule in plain language: uninstalling a game downloaded for an offer disrupts tracking, and downloading again does not fix it. Plan storage by removing unrelated apps or media—not the active offer title.

Common restart myths

“I’ll reinstall from the Play Store / App Store and keep going”

Searching the store and installing again usually skips the tracked open path that tied the first install to your EarnMoneyRewards account. Even if the game restores your level, later milestones may never post.

“I’ll click the offer button again to reset”

Re-clicking does not safely restart a mid-offer uninstall. Advertisers can still see the earlier install, the gap, and the second download. Deadlines on the original start also keep running. See game offer deadlines for how timers work—do not treat a second click as a new clock.

“I’ll reset my advertising ID and begin fresh”

No. That can break any remaining match between click and completion and may look like device manipulation. It also does not erase store or publisher history. Never create a second EarnMoneyRewards account to “retry” the same title.

“Early levels already pending, so later ones will catch up after reinstall”

Pending means those earlier events already confirmed. Later tasks are separate events. After an uninstall gap, they often fail even when early rows look fine.

What to do if you already uninstalled

  1. Stop installing on other devices, cloning the app, or resetting identifiers.
  2. Check Dashboard. Separate pending (hold running) from missing (task never appeared).
  3. If you still need the game for evidence, you may reinstall once from the store to screenshot player ID and level—but do not assume remaining goals will credit.
  4. Do not spend on in-app purchase goals after the uninstall unless you accept that the purchase may not track.
  5. Follow the game offer not tracking checklist for missing tasks. Wait any validation window stated on the card (or about 24 hours if none is listed) before writing support.
  6. Send one Contact report (or support@earnmoneyrewards.com) with: EarnMoneyRewards email, game and task names, original click date/time/time zone, device and OS, uninstall/offload time if known, milestone screenshots, and that a reinstall already happened. No passwords, OTP codes, seed phrases, or private keys.

Support can review account history and your evidence. It cannot invent a partner postback for a broken session or override an advertiser’s install rules.

When to abandon and pick another game

Abandon the remaining ladder when:

  • The uninstall already happened and later milestones stay missing after the normal wait.
  • Storage pressure will force another delete before the deadline.
  • You would need a purchase goal to make the offer worthwhile after the tracking risk.

Choose a genuinely new title you can keep installed until the last milestone you care about. One active game you can hold on disk beats two games you keep offloading.

How to avoid this next time

  • Before you tap the tracked button, confirm free space for the full offer window—not only the download size.
  • Free space by removing unrelated apps, videos, or caches—not the offer game.
  • Turn off or avoid Offload Unused Apps for the active title on iPhone.
  • Do not Force stop, clear storage, or “reinstall to fix lag” during an active ladder.
  • Keep one device from click through the last task you intend to finish.

Frequently asked questions

Does Offload Unused Apps count as uninstalling?

For offer tracking, treat it that way. The binary is removed and the live session is interrupted even if documents remain.

Will support credit me if I show screenshots after a reinstall?

Screenshots help an investigation. They do not replace a valid partner event or guarantee credit. EarnMoneyRewards cannot manually see inside the third-party game.

What if I uninstalled before any milestone tracked?

You may have broken the only session that could have attributed the install. Do not loop reinstalls. Pick another eligible game rather than grinding a damaged start.

Is this the same as switching phones?

Related but different. A second device creates a conflicting install path; an uninstall on the same phone removes the session that phone was using. Both commonly stop later milestones. Device moves are covered in second device mid-offer.

Bottom line

A mid-offer uninstall is rarely a recoverable “restart.” Reinstalling restores play, not the original tracked session. Keep active offer games installed, free space elsewhere, and treat offload or delete as a tracking break. If it already happened, check pending versus missing on Dashboard, save evidence, send one complete report after the normal wait, and move to a game you can keep on the phone through the deadline.

Rewards are not guaranteed. Offers come from third parties. Pending holds, reversals, and eligibility rules still apply.
